About the event

What are the Chakras?

The word chakra literally translates to wheel. There are seven (7) chakras within the body. Each chakra helps with your virtual life force energy; which is what allows you to move, think, sleep, meditate, and live your life.

Where are your chakras located; starting with the root chakra which is located in the pelvis, sacral chakra located around the belly button, solar plexus chakra located at the solar plexus, heart chakra located at the heart center, throat chakra located in the throat, the third eye chakra located in the forehead, and the crown chakra located at the top of the head. Each chakra has its purpose which is what is used in the Guided Meditation.

What is Sound Healing?

Sound Healing uses vibrations and frequencies to affect the body. This combination induces an altered state of consciousness and allows the nervous system to reset and relax. The powerful vibrations and frequencies help the brain to begin the transition into Theta Brain Waves. These brain waves is where the body is able to fully relax and self heal; also known as a deep state of meditation. The session benefits you for 72 hours.

During the Sound Bath your heart rate lowers, your breathing slows, muscles release tension, and allows ‘stilllness’ in the mind. Sound Bath is great to help reduce stress, deepen the meditative state, and allow a sense of peace and well being.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is the concept of bringing the mind to stillness, focusing on one point. This focal point can be a mantra, affirmation, movement, sound, breath work, etc. The ultimate goal of mediation is not relaxation; the ultimate goal of mediation is to bring stillness to the mind.

Specific Guided Meditation; is the use of one's imagination to stay focused on one focial point during the meditation. The guider is the individual who guides the mediation and uses there voice as the focal point for the mediators. The Guided Meditation is normally focused on the foundation of being in nature and exploring the self.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils and or plant extracts for over all well-being and health. One takes the essential oils or plant extracts and either puts them on there skin through massages or baths and smell them using some form of a diffuser. Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years, where the Egyptians used them for cosmetic and medical properties.
