What is Reiki?

Reiki comes from two Japanese words; Rei which means 'Spirit/Guided' and Ki which means 'Universal Life Force Energy'. The combined word literally translating into 'Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy'. Reiki is based around the fact that there is an unseen 'life force' that runs through us, which has been proven true by Quantum Physics.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows the body to regain its natural healing ability. The Reiki practitioner uses hand positions that maybe on or off of the body. The Universal Life Force Energy is transmitted through the practitioners' hands. The energy travels to where it is needed most, releasing the negative energy and replacing it with positive Universal Life Force Energy.

Reiki is beneficial for pain reduction, releasing muscle tension, sleep, nausea, healing, and general overall wellness. In the hospital setting, Reiki is used for pain reduction and stress reduction, which allows the body to have a faster recovery time.
