Learn how to break the anxiety cycle at our Stress Free Zone hosted at Progress Fitness Center. The idea behind the Stress Free Zone is to show individuals that stress and anxiety can be controlled and eventually eliminated with the use of mindfulness.

The Impossible is Possible

It is possible to eliminate your stress and anxiety with the help of mindful awareness.

Take Control

Take back control of your stress and anxiety by learning how to stop the continuous cycle of anxiety. The first step is to notice and become aware of the change in your mind and body. Then use techniques to reduce the effect of the stress and anxiety on your mind and body.

Breaking the Cycle

During the Stress Free Zone varies techniques will be taught on how to stop the anxiety cycle and how to eventual eliminating your anxiety. We will go through each techniques so you are able use them when needed. One of the techniques is to bring your attention to your breathing and start to take large deep breaths to completely fill your lungs.



Dr. Joan Borysenko author of Minding the Body, Mending the Mind states: "The primary goal of meditation is not relaxation – it is awareness". One of the main goals of the Stress Free Zone is to become more aware of ones anxiety and stress in a way that allows the individual to take control of their anxiety and stress. We will conclude the evening with a short guided meditation.

Dress comfortable there are times that we will be moving around and there will be times where we seated or laying down for meditation.
