About the event

Join us at The Hot Yoga Studio in Seabrook, NH for a 90 minute Yin Yoga Sound Bath with 10 quartz crystal singing bowls, 7 therapeutic brass singing bowls, 4 Koshi element chimes, and a Zen gong.

The first 45 minutes Brooke Bayko from The Hot Yoga Studio will lead you through a Yin practice that is focused on releasing tension and bringing relaxation into the mind and body. She will leave you completely relaxed in Shavasana.

The second half of the event Michael E. Murphy from Pure Body & Mind Wellness will perform a 45 minute Sound Bath to help the mind and body go deeper into relaxation. Allowing the mind to shift consciousnesses and slip into theta brain waves. Which is a deep state of meditation where the mind and body come back into alignment and wellness.

What is a Sound Bath? A Sound Bath is a meditative journey that involves various instruments, each varying in vibrations and frequencies. The resonates that are produced affect the entirety of your body leading to a state of total relaxation, where your brain waves transition into theta brains waves. In this state of relaxation, the mind and body are able to come back into alignment and wellness. The Sound Bath Meditation benefits the participants for up to 72 hours.

During a Sound Bath Meditation, the participants are asked to bring yoga mats, blankets, and a pillow to lay down on during the meditation. The Sound Bath lowers your heart rate, slows your breathing, allows muscles to release tension, and brings ‘stilllness’ into the mind. A Sound Bath helps to reduce stress, deepen the meditative state, and allow for a sense of peace and well being to over you.

$40 per person

About Michael E. Murphy Michael E. Murphy is a certified Vibrational Sound Therapist (VSTCP), Reiki Master Teacher (RMT), and has a bachelor's degree in Holistic Psychology & Wellness from Lesley University; where he focused on mindfulness for mental health and holistic approaches to healing. He is dedicated to spreading the knowledge of self-healing through the vibrations of mindfulness, sound healing, and energy work. His goal is to help individuals to reconnect with their innate healing ability.

As a practitioner Michael strives to connect people back with their natural vibrations, therefore connecting individuals back to their natural healing roots. This connection helps the client reconnect to their body which leads them to regain balance between Mind, Body, and Spirit (Energy). Through all-natural healing modalities, Michael works towards bringing people to a more natural and healthy lifestyle. This switch of living can bring on positive life changes within and around one's self. Michael works with all ages, to help connect with their inner natural healing ability.

Michael has interned and volunteered at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) where he helped to expand, strengthen and grow the Reiki program. He also started the Lesley Reiki Circle at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. in early 2015, for students to experience Reiki and have a safe practice space.

Michael co-runs a college summer program in Costa Rica that focuses on holistic health and wellness. Where students are able to gain college credits while immersed in a foreign culture, surrounded by beautiful lush nature, and a connection to a like-minded community.
